INSURANCE CLAIM SPECIALIST/ADJUSTER

Our company works with insurance carriers by handing property and building inspections, performing content inventories, appraisals, and preparing cost evaluations on insurance claims. We maintain the insurance claim file and provide reports, pictures, and the supporting documentation necessary to process and close the claim.

We are looking for someone with at least five (5) years prior commercial claim experience, or the equivalent, to help build our client base. Your main job will be to bring in new business from insurance companies to help grow our business, while maintaining our existing relationships. The ideal candidate already has existing relationships with carriers/adjusters they can bring with them. 

This position also goes on on-site inspections and inventories as needed, so some travel is required. We are usually on-site 2-4 days, depending on the assignment.

Skills and Requirements:
  • Five (5) years’ experience working in commercial claims is required. Relevant claims adjusting experience and/or building construction experience is also acceptable. 
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required.
  • Proficiency in Xactimate and XactContent is required.
  • Proficient in common Social Media Platforms.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the insurance industry and terminology is a must in order to effectively communicate with insurance carriers/adjusters.
  • You must be articulate and communicate in an effective manner. 
  • Gathering information and developing recommendations on prospective insurance companies in order to build business is required.
  • You must be able to be on-time, maintain accuracy, and complete claims in an expedite manner.
  • The physical agility to do on-site inspections is required.
